BACKTOFRONT

Cardboard - 1700h x 1700w x 400d

RATIONALE

I liked the idea of stacking up a material like cardboard. The quality of the edge is not something that is usually celebrated. The square holes have been removed at an angle to the face of the unit which means the views change as you move around it.  Its a very textural piece with a degree of transparency.

YOUME CHAIR

Plywood - 600h x 1500w x 600d

RATIONALE

Why can we instantly recognise a chair? What happens when you combine two chairs? I like to create a momentary re adjustment for the user.
Which way to sit? The dynamic/relationship changes with the chosen sitting position.
